Yeah I put no stock in the anonymous quotes. But there are members of Congress and the Senate on record. Nancy Pelosi! What they're doing is making it far worse, and it's not clear anyone would do better than Biden (polling on this is worthless. The backup QB is everyone's favorite player)

What’s pragmatic about very publicly freaking out, fueling an even bigger panic, then having a chaotic (at best) convention, having coalitions fracture over who becomes Pres and VP, all while Republicans use rigged courts to try to screw them, and the media breathlessly covers every second of it?

Definitely! It’s not like a story where each chapter builds on the ones before it, or typical nonfiction that can be pretty bland Each chapter is its own little essay, which makes it poetic in a nice way IMO
