I still remember filling out insurance forms shortly after I was diagnosed with lupus, and right at the top of the form was a statement that anyone with cancer, lupus, and/or some other chronic conditions would be automatically denied. So yeah, let's not go back to that. It was terrifying.

My mom was diagnosed with Lupus in her teens. I still remember being about 10, and she was arguing on the phone with her workplace. Because *every employee* was supposed to receive insurance but the insurance company had declined because she'd had Lupus since she was a child.

This, so much. It breaks a lot of TERF brains when I say that I'm cis but don't have a uterus. So if their definition of a woman is someone with a uterus, I'm not in that definition.

I love that delicious grass flavor. But I found out from the UCSF study I'm in that I have very little ability to taste bitter foods, so it's possible I like a lot of things because I can't really taste them XD

Today's Bsky reminds me of the amount of people who've assumed I'm not religious or I'm an atheist based on the fact that I don't proselytize, and just generally speaking don't discuss my religion unless someone takes an interest. It's a lot of people!
