Naoise was being a dickhead, but it's her birthday, so I'll let it slide. But airborne wolfhound when it's a million degrees out is unwelcome, to say the least. The beagle and the wiener are habitual asshats, though, and I'm no fan of their owners at any time.

Not one, not two, but three shitty interactions with dogs this morning due to irresponsible owners, resulting in injury to me and a very, very bad mood. I did keep the dog from killing anyone and refrained from doing it myself as well. Not doing people any more today, thanks.

Seeing the results now on parents’ friends who spent a lifetime in trades. Their bodies are fucked in many unfixable ways. Happy retirement! Enjoy some chronic pain and limited mobility, if cancer, COPD, etc. don’t crash the party.

Oh yeah, dog people never know the humans’ names. But these are actual friends of mine, not dog walking acquaintances. For some reason, people always clock the dog, who, admittedly, is a reasonably distinctive animal. But, like, I am less than six feet away…

Once again while walking the dog a friend saw the dog and not me. (I am attached by leash to the dog.) I am going to start robbing banks and bring my dog, and every time the cops ask witnesses for a description, it’ll be like, “I didn’t see anyone. Oh, but Statler was there!”

FB is rolling out the memories from when I first got Statler. Today’s is the first time I took her up to my parents’ place. Dog is now 10 and going on old lady meds, and we no longer have that property. If you need me, I’ll be a little verklempt.
