Another question equally important, sir: Is he capable of prosecuting a vigorous campaign? (ie promotion of his record AND forceful repudiation of Trump). The answer seems to be 'no', which is the basis of the concern.

I get that the campaign's talking point is to downplay Thursday as a "bad night", but that belies reality and insults viewers who are very much in Biden's corner, but also recognize he's not the man to bring the fight to Trump in this campaign. Mr. Biden needs to pass the torch. Now.

Exactly! Heard a Biden campaign person call the concerns "silly" on MSNBC this morning. Wrong attitude. Also wrong: "lets wait two weeks for polls". There is little time. There has to be decisive action AND a united and enthusiastic backing of Ms. Harris.

Wow. Pretty scary time to be living in the USA right now. In second Trump term, nothing would be off the table for him. Before ANYTHING he does, "Uh, this is an Official Act." You guys are f#cked. The US needs some serious institutional reforms. Electoral system and courts, to begin with.

I remember discovering these in the early 80s in grade school. I read this one but didn't own it. I do have Han Solo at Star's End from the same series. And a couple similar-vein Lando books from the same era. Thanks for the throwback!

The neighbor's daughter finally speak out publicly, knowing she's going to be flamed by these clowns. Brave lady. The second flag "sealed the deal" for her. Knowing Alito wrote the majority opinion for Dobbs, she felt she had to speak out, regardless of the blowback.

Agree wholeheartedly - but I do miss what Twitter used to be. Still somewhat surprised by the number of journalists and organizations that, through what has to be inertia, still post on that site or otherwise advertise for it by reminding tv viewers of their "X" handle when they appear on tv.

The instability of Thwaites has been a source of concern to scientists for quite a while now and reported widely. This is just greater confirmation of the issue by more scientists. An issue that exists in the real world, not make-believe political land. I don't see how that's "disinformation".

No, always with the buns in my memory - it was an iconic piece of Star Wars at the time. ESB Leia hair was initially jarring. I, too, had this book and my friends and I all assumed this would form the basis of the next movie for a time. No Han and 2x the wookie stand-ins, as I recall.
