...this actually makes a lot of sense with some interactions I've had, randos who start off on the wrong note and insist they're just trying to connect with new people when called out. Like could be a weak defense OR could be the truth with some of them thinking comments will = follows. 🤔

The original what's hot also showed popular comments bc at the time there wasn't a lot of content, and that shifted things a bit too

Good luck to them, he says while he liberally blocks. I think it may be a category error to cross-apply a specific affordance from one platform to another, as if affordances are a fact of nature. But for those of us who are blocking generously (😉), it's not a big deal.

So the fact that I pretty regularly have things moderately take off makes that worse, I imagine, since I'm not huge therefore not intimidating, but my posts get more eyes automatically than theirs alone would get?
