CN sexual assault, abuse It's also harder to get that shit out of your community because it doesn't look like what it is. Yes I'm subtweeting. I'm waiting on further info before I form a course of future action, BUT if it is what it looks like, there's always a raft of "that doesn't count."

Content note: sexual assault. As I percolate thoughts further, I just wanna say, as the unfortunate owner of a fawn response, I have significantly more trauma from times I was "persuaded" than times the cops would call it rape. It's actually so much fucking worse when it's not violent... yet.

Multiple people have literally started masking because of my posts (they told me this directly) and stopped themselves (AND others) from living a life with additional chronic illness and early death. People underestimate the impact that they can have online.

It's not just one or two people so I'm sharing this again. Please, think of disabled people. It's Disability Awareness Month so time to think about others. There is no need to post a whole string of emojis. It doesn't make your post stand out - it just makes me less likely to read and share it.

Ask the guy I'm quoting for confirmation, but my understanding is it's his image which he compiled the data for by reading the longer document. I just typed his words in a way that is accessible to screen readers.

I've been seeing people saying that because JK Rowling routinely uses UK libel law to silence critics, Gaiman's failure to immediately do so shows his guilt. That's incorrect, and I think it's worth talking about why - it goes to important facets of defamation law abuse. 🧵⚖️

For me it often is. I think it helps to know people are listening. I'll catastrophize really bad if I'm alone, but knowing other people can see me is a bit grounding.

I get why he's mentioned when the subject is horror. My only quibble then is people are ignoring vast swathes of other artists who were active at the time, and to the impact on publishing- I think there's a case to be made that the credit is partially August Derleth's. ...
