mostly I've been offline writing about the fucked up immunity ruling (I have to mark these opinions up on my tablet away from the internet), but just wanted to duck in to say: it's okay to feel fucked up about this! Political despair like everything else is a kind of "no way out but thru" situation.

One thing the Biden campaign said they were waiting to happen was for people to start paying attention to the election and to properly absorb that these are the choices. Well it’s happening now

I don't think it happened, but Phil Murphy could've maybe explained to Biden how no matter how much goodwill you've accrued among your constituencies, when you blatantly start putting your own ambition and self-interest ahead of what's clearly best for the rest of us, that dries up pretty darn fast

Ah, but even if you lose, “saving democracy” is really just about having the heart to go the distance

I took my son to NYC today to meet the YouTubers who animate his favorite online cartoons. It was really fun for him, and all I have to say is, I’m sure the YouTube platform screws creators somehow, but it’s also extremely cool to see people making whatever they want to make and succeeding with it

Sorry, I don’t agree. I think the first female president would absolutely enjoy a honeymoon period

Anyway Joe Biden happened to drive past me last night on his way to fundraise with the governor of New Jersey, in the past I would’ve given him a wave but instead I threw a printout of David Klion’s above tweets at his motorcade

Apologies in advance if I’m about to transform into a Make Kamala President Now account but it’s the right thing to do and it’s the smart thing to do. This election has up until now felt like one that wasn’t offering a future, this would be a jolt that could change that dynamic

Biden resigning in the next few weeks and Kamala Harris becoming the next president and running as an incumbent is the best option

Aside from being the best werewolf movie, and the nudity bits, this film has one of the best examples of what’s still one of my favorite things: it ends abruptly. There’s mayhem in Piccadilly circus, total carnage, the police shoot David, he turns back into a human, zero explanation, credits roll

No matter how many times we watched it, anytime somebody cursed in it or was naked, my Grandma would tut disapprovingly. I don’t know why she never got a different movie

In the early 80’s my Grandma in England had one movie on video cassette, An American Werewolf in London directed by John Landis. We’d watch it over and over again. I don’t understand how she came to own this, I don’t know if it was taped off of the tv. All the nudity and swear words were still in it

Maybe the upside to all this is a little bit of clarity. The NYT editorial was very clear about the danger Trump poses, it wasn’t bothsidesing. Dems claim they’ve been waiting for people to tune in to the election, I think that’s certainly happening now
