When it comes to climate change, we need to retire, or at least put on hiatus, the term "the new normal". This is not the new normal. Normal will keep getting warmer until we stop adding greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.

We use a similar approach. As they get more responsibilities, you can also increase allowance (our 7 year old gets 50 cents). It motivates them, but it also gives you the ability to take away parts of the allowance when they misbehave or if they don't do the chores.

I switched from tensorflow to torch years ago and never looked back. There’s also an R package on Cran called torch that is really powerful
