Going public with an experience like this is life-altering for a woman, so when you read these stories remember both the extraordinary amount of courage involved and also the likelihood that there are many others you’ll never hear.
I have a feeling the pro-life folks just think it’s all good since she survived her nightmare. “What’s the problem? She’s fine. No one’s dying because of abortion bans.” Blah blah blah
I'll be curious and disturbed to see what Politicians do and say when the Birth rate goes from "falling" to "totally collapsed why is 1% of america having kids?! COME ON! BIRTH!!!!!" because to be frank they've done it to themselves treating Women like Meat Factories ,filthy republicans.
I'm just gonna copy/paste my comment re: what they're doing in SC about parole: There can be no denying the sadistic tendencies of the right wing fanatics.
I believe SCOTUS* did not expect this to become such an unreasonably fucked up mess, that states would at least be "reasonable" where life and health were concerned -- and wow was that ever off the mark.
*Except for Alito obviously, who just wants to burn it all down
It's a human rights violation. I don't understand why there are no riots. Women second class beings. Who is paying for the plane? She? Sue the hell out of them.
As someone who lives in Utah it is SHOCKING that we are the abortion refuge state for Idaho. And the only reason we can do as much as we can now is because those early Mormons were dumb enough write women being people into our state constitution.
