the cigarette advertising in those 80s-early 90s venues really dates those videos (NFL/MLB films too). Except for car racing, I hardly noticed it disappear, but now when you see pictures from back then it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I always understood the biggest restriction on US soccer development was the idea that a college scholarship was the goal of youth players (and their parents). Players need to get into academy systems because NCAA play isn't going to develop world class players

why would one need an advanced history degree to teach history of religion? Would a teacher need an advanced engineering degree to teach the industrial revolution? K-122 teachers are provided a text, their advanced degree gives them the educational mastery to convey that information
