I miss the old days when ... Gregory the Great? Leo? One of the war popes was out there on the battlefield, pointing at guys and excommunicating them just before teeing up on their skull with a mace. Can't find the citation right now.

My wasband's partner got excommunicated and their "blessings revoked" by letter from the Mormons when they wrote to be removed from the rolls.
