That's what you ask your trans partner, or any partner going through an experience which isn't about you, and one that is hard. You tell them that you don't understand all of what they are going through but you want to offer your (unconditional ideally) love and support and ask them how to do that

For the record: I support the Democratic ticket. I’d vote for dead Biden before live Trump. I’d vote for a ham sandwich before I’d vote for Trump. Maybe there’s an unrepentant serial killer serving life who is a worse person than Trump, but I’d still want to see their policy platform beforehand

And actually I hated December even more when I was a server because people will go shopping, go out to eat, and NOT TIP (??!). Like I'm talking blatantly, people will show up with a group of their shopping friends talking about the deals they got and stiff the servers.

It's on the 18th, but it means absolutely no one does anything beyond acknowledging it - I tried having parties when I turned 30 (in early December) and 40 (in January). My brother, who has an early January birthday, said no one shows up when he plans one, either. People are just too swamped in Dec.

I had a partner for 18 months, until just about a year ago, and we just know each other so deeply & so well that we have remained the best of friends ever since. we're both autistic and have similar communication styles & enjoy when the other infodumps at the other about something interesting to us
