If an alder sought to ban all 30-somethings from downtown after 8PM after a group of 30-somethings committed violence, the proposal would be rightfully seen as absurd. But collectively punishing youth is viewed as reasonable by many, because youth (esp. racialized youth) get cast as one mass.

I feel like people are missing a key thing in this aid package. 1. Democrats want Ukraine aid and Republicans don't 2. Republicans want Israel aid and Democrats are ambivalent/leaning to no Therefore, compromise: do both! Nobody is happy but both things get passed and everybody says "good enough"

Good point in the OP. But these career/majors earnings pieces aren't an indictment of college or majors. They're solid evidence that our society devalues care work and traditionally feminine careers. Ask questions about the structure of the labor market.

I'm not BDS, the movement, but it is also a tactic. If I boycott Wal Mart, I am boycotting, regardless of whether I'm in a movement. That is absolutely doing BDS even if it's not I/P related. Same logic applies to I/P
