I think it will be good for Dad and even better for Mum despite her hating it. She was not coping trying to look after him at home. But we do need to get him out for a decent meal as he is not impressed at institutional food. “I’d like a nice BBQ and salad” 🥩🥗

Dads finally settled in a rest home. He’s complaining that the people here are all in the older age group and don’t have a lot of go in them 😂 …. And you can’t even have grog here! He used to like a drink but hasn’t done for many years now.

Apps for someone with dementia/delirium? Who can recommend some without pop up ads or anything that is going to get my Dad into strife. I've just had to pick up his iphone and reset it all completely as he had locked himself out. An app slim down is happening but if anyone has suggestions, pls tell.

Just over 29. The doctor was good but I had to interrupt when Dad was not quite painting the correct picture! Delirium from infection or bowel obstruction suspected which means his confusion and mobility could actually improve once they get whatever is causing it under control. 🤞🏻

My Dad was seen last night and is in a bed but rarely gets checked on and has only been changed when I tell them to. We’ve been waiting for the specialist ever since the ED doctor saw him last night. It’s fucking broken alright.
