I'm considering writing a browser "proxy" mobile app, so that when you tap a link, it asks you what browser you want to open it in. Because some links I want to open in my Chrome with all my logged in accounts, others I want to open in Firefox Focus for throwaway stuff.

ChatGPT already has “Ph.D.-level intelligence,” in that once you remove it from its extremely narrow field of expertise (assembling words into credible-sounding passages) it is wildly out of its depth, but people vastly overestimate its authority because they don’t understand what “intelligence” is.

So an artist physically has to draw every line by hand, themselves? That's going to suddenly discredit about 80% of what you think of as art. e.g. the Sistine Chapel was painted mainly by apprentices. Michaelangelo just "gave them a description"

So you're saying that AI generated writing and art is terrible slop? Then it seems like writers and artists will still have jobs, because they can do better than an AI can. If they're having to rewrite the entire thing, they can just charge the same amount they would charge to make it from scratch.

What entry-level positions are you talking about then? Most entry-level designers are not create new, artistic things. They are pushing pixels and slapping corporate-approved clip art and stock photos on ads. Might as well make that job easier with AI; it's not going to affect artistic creativity

Except that's not what I said. An artist's labor is definitely valuable. But an artist's labor is more than just the physical crafting of the piece. It's more about the mental and emotional effort that went into it, and the message they are trying to share with other people. AI can't replace that.
