I read this book recently, www.goodreads.com/book/show/39...

The author posits that our American system was at least partly based on Algonquin (if I remember correctly, which I probably don't).

He didn't provide adequate evidence, but seemed reasonable. I'd love to do a deep dive on this.

Every year, I harvest about 2.5 gallon of blueberries from my 2 blueberry bushes. I freeze them and my husband @oldblackcrow.bsky.social loves putting them in his cereal. Tips: 1 bush needs @least 5 gallon of water a week.

A strategy I've been using... Many moons ago, I considered myself a centrist Republican. So, in GA, I registered as an R. I have since abandoned the R party, however, I do vote in the R primary, always voting for the least known candidate. For one election cycle, imagine if many dems did this.

In the US, there's a big push to eliminate the tiny soaps for built-in squirt bottles. Environmentally, that's the way to go. But I agree that shelves are quite useful.

If you’re going to the LISA Symposium in Dublin & want to see the oldest evidence of human astronomical knowledge in Europe, you should get tix asap (depending on how long you’re there, some dates are already sold out!). But if you can, I highly recommend visiting Newgrange (older than Stonehenge!)
