that's so funny! i do love any time they change people's species. dukat in his bajoran disguise, all the cardassian makeovers. but Far Beyond is just all my favorite things (Avery Brooks at the top of his game, stories about writers, mixed historical and speculative fiction, multiverse theory).

I'm so sorry, I'll keep her and your family in my prayers. We lost my Nana, my last grandparent, in June. She was 94. At the end, when comfort becomes harder and harder, it's so difficult. But still every minute is precious. I really feel for you, I'm sorry.

i would be taking classes. my desire to learn more about craft and give myself a stronger foundation keeps being pushed aside by the dozens of projects i don't want to finish any slower than i already am. with what limited time and energy i have, i just want to create.

There is an entire three-hour documentary called EX LIBRIS about the New York Public Library system, and it is enchanting and wonderful, and if you have Kanopy (which you can likely get through your own library, for crying out loud), I encourage you in the strongest terms to watch it.

i'm late to this, but have you read the YA graphic novel IF YOU'LL HAVE ME? i just read it last month and loved it. BUNT was also really fun! for non-GN, i really enjoyed DIABLO'S CURSE earlier this year, and the MGs DIFFERENT KINDS OF FRUIT and THE BEAUTIFUL SOMETHING ELSE.

i think i'm past the point now where i've read more @kjcharleswriter.com books than i have left to read (each and every one a delight)! just finished the new one, DEATH IN THE SPIRES, and dear god. characters like Toby always fascinate me, such a cool type to have at the center of a murder mystery.
