I think it's funny that there have been all these close reads of the DNC rules about their candidates as if they are somehow set in stone. It's the party's rules! They can just change them completely! It's not the law!
They love rules. It seems like they love following them so much that they will continue to do so even when their ideological opponents have changed the rules to the point where opposing them is illegal.
Such an important point -- everything is up for grabs at an open convention. All you need is a majority to change the rules. And, yes, superdelegates can vote on rule changes.
Can't pass this line!
Who drew the line?
Us!
Why'd you draw the line?
So we wouldn't cross it!
What's the problem?
Might need to cross the line!
So do it?
Can't!
Why!?
Because we can't cross the line!
