False teeth vulcaniser with gas regulating gauge, Amalgamated Dental Co Ltd, London. False teeth were vulcanite from the 1870s (replacing gold as the material of choice & meaning the middle classes could afford dentures) to the 1930s, when acrylic was introduced. Ref 8557 City of Belmont Museum.
