A year hence, it's worse. I studied by order of magnitude more content in ~10hrs than DIA's 2023 DVE report flags around the ChCh livestream video. The point is a simple one. NZ's apex agency studying online harms, & by extension, NZ's govt, seemingly clueless how bad diffusion of video really is.

People stop rationalising your suffering and accept that it's ok for things to be shit and to be upset about it. 'But I am better off than someone in worse circumstances' is a way of gaslighting yourself into believing you are not allowed to be upset unless at rock bottom. It's unhealthy.

This seriously needs clarifying National are continuing with minimum wage exemption permits, just like previous govts Labour had *proposed* a wage subsidy scheme as a way to address the issue of folk being paid less than minimum wage. They never implemented it. Nothing being cut except a proposal

I need you, if you can, to get vaccinated: Covid vaccines are produced by commercial manufacturers; if there's no demand, they simply won't produce supply. They're distributed by commercial pharmacies; if there's no demand, pharmacies won't go through the trouble of stocking & distributing.

What I will say is that we won the guidance from CDC that allows people to self-certify their status as someone who needs two (or more!) boosters per year. Self-certify, doesn’t require any additional proof, doesn’t require an Rx. That was a long, hard fight.
