watching the videos out of bay ridge, brooklyn, today of NYPD beating the shit out of protesters it’s unbelievable how many cameras there were. cops assaulting people in broad daylight on camera and they keep going because our leaders have made it clear they’ll never suffer a single consequence.

i think you can't separate this from the fact that these people live, work and breathe in elite circles. "wokeness" — whatever that is — is omnipresent for them and so it feels real and threatening. meanwhile, right-wing revanchists are in distant, to them, places like Mississippi.
