In anarchist spaces it's referred to as child liberation. Children are among the most vulnerable and marginalized members of our society viewed by many as little more than their parents property. It's very frustrating how often parental rights are talked about instead of the rights of the child.

You mean the jobs Republicans are inexorably cutting and outsourcing to private companies? The value of public investment in infrastructure and community service cannot only be measured in $$. But not to worry. Cons will just label it all as socialist, and that will be the end of it.

I think this would get young people more invested in the concept of living in community and giving back. It would get them out of the silos we increasingly find ourselves in.

What about expanding the definition of service to include Americorps or other community service work? Make it mandatory for ages 18-20, two years, at least one year to be spent 500 miles away from one's hometown. In exchange, college or trade school fully paid for.

I'm not gonna compare myself to the experience of women, but it does appear that young people are mostly interested in hanging out with other young people and mostly value time with older people only when they need something from them (a job, money, a grade, beer, etc.).

You aren't giving Drumpf enough credit. He and his team polled conservatives and independents on many different topics before he came down the escalator in 2015. Immigration bashing was by far the most effective at getting people irrationally angry, and that's why he featured it from the beginning.

Early run flats were so stiff that they had a very harsh ride. To improve the ride, tire makers went with much softer rubber. This worked to soften the ride, at the cost of longevity.

There is a more fundamental problem. I've seen many examples of closed-ended questions in which the correct answer is no, and it seems that Google and other AI refuse to answer in the negative. They answer with a yes, and provide the most batshit justification for it.
