This whole company is obviously making shit up and selling snake oil, but also it is important for everyone to understand that it is morally good to set fire to this company's headquarters
In my tech ethics course, I teach students that there are no absolute answers and that they must ultimately decide for themselves what is right. In this case, my approach is incorrect. Reducing this company’s headquarters to ashes would be unambiguously morally correct.
I’d like to see them try to replace my memories with a brain implant. This old sailer’s memories of the sea are buried deep in my bones. Not even a decanter of brandy on a moonlit night will let me forget…
One random annoying thing about all of these snake-oil techbros is that they keep stealing all the good names that I want to use for my open-source Python packages.
They hooked me up to a machine and it seemed like YEARS though it only lasted minutes and it was supposed to make me feel bad about setting them on fire. But it still felt GREAT.
Yeah, like - it would be terrifying if it worked, but now I just wonder how these idiots can get people to uncritically publish shit about a technology that does not exist and doesn't work.
