oh sorry, just seeing this. I use a big ball of blue poster tack on the top for anything larger than 30-50mm. I hate trying to get things into the spreader bits. It's also really useful for masking for the airbrush and as a stress ball in meetings. I highly recommend it!

I've also had a very good time watching the MIT opencourseware lectures on quantum physics while I paint. I don't understand all of it (lack of classical mechanics background), but I know significantly more now than I did last week.
