Some elite schools (rare shout out to the place I wasted 4 years) are ditching them. Like need-blind, full-need admissions/aid caught on 20 years ago, the end of legacy preferences seems to be slowly catching on at places with $1 Million/student endowments.

didn't seem to have the variety of perus cuisine. not at the high end, but street food and mid level cuisine. but Peru is really one of the best in the hemisphere on that front.

i visited BA Mendoza (plus the long bus ride between) and Cordoba seemed like it would be a good place to visit. in Peru, most of the people.i.met travelling were Chilean and Argentinian. A Peruvian Spanish teacher gave me this advice before going to Chile:

it's a team whose players made at a similar level to Switzerland and Austria. But those two play cohesively (so I've read, haven't watched much of either). it's like a C league England, where the national team is worse than the sun of its parts (used to be the opposite when we lacked talent)

I'm familiar with the Peru's generally positive feelings toward Argentina (somewhat unique in SA) from having spent time there. Not sure how much is just "the enemy of my enemy..." with Chile occupying the third role? And I seems rather one sided (not sure Chile cares all that much)

FPTP oddly enough is keeping the insanity ceiling lower in the UK. Reform projected to get way fewer seats than its votes would with PR. Though if we agree the Tories have been insane for a long time, FPTP has been over representing them.

it was not good.... In the end the abysmal officiating (is there some Peru-Uruguay affinity or alliance, maybe in a war 150 years ago that I dont know about?) just didn't matter because they placed their fate in the hands of Bolivia not being horrible.
