something I really enjoy about living through the junktech era is every day I get to log in and watch a heated competition between the worst products you’ve ever imagined to see who can embarrass themselves the most

I wrote about the most important, and, among new copywriters, often forgotten aspect of conversion copy: the actual conversion itself.

I can do social comments or Trello cards in markdown, but when I’m writing for real, my brain defaults to keyboard shortcuts. Cmd-K, Cmd-B, Cmd-Shift-8, Cmd-]. I have to think about markdown, whereas shortcuts just flow. For me at least.
I also do all my writing 100% in Google Docs.

If you’re just catching up;
- AI will obviously replace *some* creative jobs, but they’re not necessary
- AI can’t achieve its potential without mining creatives’ data
- Really creatives are being selfish for not letting my AI do that

If I believed in Artificial Intelligence as a thing that was possible to exist and possible and good to build I would be endlessly furious right now at the ongoing conflation of dead-end chatbots and image generators with it.

In my latest issue of #Inkspiller,
I talk about this style of writing.
It offers a handrail,
beckons you downward with the next,
plunging past "view more" without even a hint as to what the post is about.

Literally every other unit within digital storage: The need to measure digital storage only arose after the western world understood how well metric works at scale (and we're gonna do a lot of scaling). Let's all work in powers of ten to make things nice and easy.

Just wanna say, I despise the Sonos app redesign. Sonos is pure utility for me, I do not need or want it to be a content hub. I just want it to make my home audio work wirelessly so I don't have to drop stereo cords through my drywall.

This is how the election would turn out if the individual state betting markets proved to be true as of today, making November to March a very good time to go on a nice extended overseas vacation.

I remember writing down the AOL Keywords I saw in ads for movies, video games, tv shows, etc that I wanted to look up the next time I was on the computer, which might not have been for a couple of days.
