We lost Michael Zulli today. Beautiful, lyrical, mystical storyteller, he was part of the BW Boom of the 80s with his PUMA BLUES, he drew some gorgeous stuff for SANDMAN, and a startlingly fun book about Alice Cooper. All that’s just for starters. Some people, you think will always be out there.

Peter B. Gillis once wrote a Captain America annual in which Bernie Worrell and George Clinton were AIM scientists. He also wrote many brilliant and eloquent Facebook posts about memory and melancholy and libraries, and he was a sweetheart of a man when we had coffee once.

RIP Peter B. Gillis. Very underrated / underappreciated comic writer, notably STRIKEFORCE: MORITURI at Marvel, and co-created SHATTER with Chicago's own Mike Saenz, the first comic completely drawn/lettered with a computer. I hope Gillis's works are re-evaluated one day.

I think when people say Watchmen/DKR, they're short handing for the astonishing popularity of Moore and Miller. But the creators influenced by that weren't simply focused on those two works, but on Daredevil and Swamp Thing and Wolverine and things like the Grant/Zeck Punisher. There was a sense...

Just watched a realtors' AI-enhanced video tour of the house we've lived in for the past 4 years. weird *and* eerie, in the Mark Fisher sense—like watching the Parallax Corporation training film with a pair of Hoffman-lens glasses that keep falling off. Also, they added Ayn Rand to my bookshelf!
