We visited my sister in law so Sy and I made a cake. Chocolate cake with Italian buttercream and caramel. I fucked up a few things and learned more about caramel & buttercream! And it was delicious.

1/Just a reminder that the Bible is full of trans people. The Hebrew term saris (סָרִיס) is mostly translated into English as eunuch, but in Hebrew is often depicted as a person who was born male but later in life appears female. And the saris is respected. Isaiah 56:4-5 has a blessing for the saris.

One big question is how to keep your data safe, especially in areas where LGBTQIA+ rights are under attack. You need to also think about if data you collect might be subpoenaed. & if you do collect the data, you want to make sure you use it in a way that will help your LGBTQIA+ clients & community.

It's important to understand that you CANNOT lump all religions together into one big whole, which is where many militant Capital A Atheists get in trouble. They tend to see all religion as Christianity. And it's NOT. So much Atheism is just informed by Christianity and it results in bigotry.

Yes, there is a problem of Antisemitism in Columbia, and a senior administrator dismissing it with snarky comments is bad, very bad, in fact, even if the revelation came from a right wing rag. The suspensions are reasonable. Trying to defend senior administrators snarkiness at racism is not.

Today I cut up, cleaned, dried, and cut all the kale and braised the collard greens that we grew in the garden, all to be frozen. Now we have fresh kale and braised collards during the winter.
