The Jerusalem Post has removed and now retracted an article on its website and also two tweets which falsely claimed Muhammad Hani Al-Zahar, a 5-month-old Palestinian baby who died in Gaza yesterday, was "a doll" and not real.
Are they trying to imply that nobody is actually being killed? That it’s a false flag or something? They are staging all the death? Are they this deluded? I cannot make sense of this poll in any way but maybe this believe is the reason? A nation of delusionals? time.com/6333781/isra...
They just went "One of the things we said on the weekend was untrue, but never mind what it was."?
I really wish we had an international press code, because that doesn't scream responsible journalism.
on one hand my immediate first thought when i saw muhammad hani was "oh my god that baby looks like a doll". on the other hand i had the critical thinking ability to know a) they wouldnt need a doll when theres so many dead children and b) where the Fuck would they get such a realistic doll rn
To be entirely honest, I'm surprised they didn't double down.
I get why they wouldn't, it makes them look bad, but what I've see of that site doesn't suggest they're smart enough to retract obviously false claims.
