Just had a total knee replacement May 1. I've learned a lot about to get through it. Reach the range of motion goals asap. I did those exercises every hour until I was allowed to use the stationary bike. You need way more ice than you can imagine. Read all that boring stuff they give you.

I have a Swytch ebike conversion kit on my winter commuter bike and they do a Brompton version. Replacement front wheel and a small battery. 15-25 miles of range. Works really well.

I'll put performance brake shoes on Tessie (the Dahon) and I'll keep my speed down. 10 - 15 mph seems fine to me now.

Good idea! PT was so fantastic. My therapists saved me from a bad outcome. If you don't get your full range of motion early.....it's bad. I am so grateful to my therapy team and my friends.

No, it has front and rear rim brakes. IGH on rear. Shimano Nexus 7. My photo is a bit fuzzy. I would like a brake upgrade though. E brakes, disc? Ok I'll probably get a better folding bike.

I'm recovering from a knee replacement so I'm sorta careful now. Just able to ride a little again. Planning some gentle bike packing trips. The recovery process is so slowww.

Switch bike has brilliant marketing. I need them to confirm the front dropout dimension (80 mm) and I'll probably get that kit. I can probably charge devices off that little battery pack!

Yes!!!! That's what was thinking. Using the small battery packs. I'm considering a Swytch kit because my bike riding friend keeps bugging me to get one. He's 84! He rides a classic Nishiki road bike and I can't keep up.

People can help others become citizens by becoming a tutor. You help them study to pass the citizenship interview. It’s one of the most meaningful things I’ve done in my life. Search for immigrant or refugee services in your area. If you speak English and took 6th grade civics, you’re good to go.

I love Bafang. I have a sensible (sort of) 29" Motobecane MTB with a Bafang mid drive. 48 volt. It's such a good bike. I programmed it down so I can't speed!

I'm now old enough to get rid of my hotrod ebikes. Like the over-volted direct drive hub motor that I was riding, got caught passing cars on highway 11. Got a talking to by an expert bike mechanic. I changed. A tiny 250-watt powered wheel Dahon sounds so cute. And I can lift it onto a bus or train.
