Simon is the best. I first worked with him on the INCREDIBLE HULK and INCREDIBLE HERCULES comics back in the day, and then on the PRINCESS WHO SAVED books, MECH CADET YU, and RONIN ISLAND. He's currently lettering LAWFUL and he's great! Hire him!

I spent £80 on that, and I just couldn't work with it. Ended up spending another £80 on a Logitech MX Master 3S and it's one billion times better. Plus it has a charging port on the side.

This one has really, truly hit me hard. I was one of his biggest fans, bought everything he worked on, even fill-in issues. I'm so sad to hear that he's gone, and 68 is absolutely no age at all.

A rule in comics: Staff editors don't get to claim a co-creator credit on characters their writers and artists create for them. Throwing out suggestions and brainstorming is part of the editor's job. Change my mind. I'm kidding. You'll never change my mind on this.

It would be great if more writers/artists/publishers made more effort to include the letterer as part of the team. Simple things like cover credits, mentioning us and including us in PR, tagging us on social media. Royalties would also be nice. Basically not acting as if the letterer doesn't matter.

If Scout Comics want to start "doing better" - their words - then they should pay all of their creators a page rate. Nobody in this industry should be working for free. It's not a foot in the door, it's exploitation, plain and simple.

Almost made the same mistake, until at the very last minute I realised the PP3 wasn’t compatible with my Cintiq. It’s disappointing, I’d assumed all the pens would be compatible with all the displays.

Lettering rates have stagnated. So factor in the rising cost of living, plus the increasing demand for more organic/creative work, and letterers are earning less money for working more hours. Bear that in mind when offering a low rate, and by low rate I mean anything in the $15-20 bracket.
