It's true! People are feeling so sad and hopeless right now. I think the SCOTUS immunity decision deepened everyone's sense that even the courts won't provide the small bit of protection they did when Trump was in office. But that was never our only tool, or even the best one.

If it helps at all, posts like this and those from others with steps we can take to help avert crisis are extremely welcome for most of us. I'm not a drinking man, but if I were I'd have been drunk since Monday morning. Finding posts with not only hope but plans is more heartening. So thank you!

Indeed. It's ok and natural to mourn another loss of what we were fooled into believing was a marginally functional institution, but the upshot is that we know what we are dealing with now, and we have time to regroup and continue to hold the line.
