I share his confusion. If Biden decides to run, he needs to do something pretty forceful pretty quickly. If he doesn’t, I think Adam Serwer’s suggestion is best: step aside now and give Kamala Harris at least a brief track record to run on.

It's a great idea, and it's feasible that script is playing out right now. SCOTUS, Leonard Leo, and Harlan Crow are the masterminds, Trump is their team member -- although he's obviously also their weakest link since he's a loose cannon

Martin Short is a genius, but what I love about Hader is how he always gives it up for his peers. No sense of a competitive "now I've got to be funnier" urge, he just loves comedy and comedians and dissolves into a puddle of laughter

There is a thing called narcissistic collapse -- what happens when a narcissist can no long prop up his false image of himself against an onslaught of events contradicting it -- and I say we keep pushing until Trump hits that point

Accurate. It's quite an ethos for a movement that idolizes a strongman. The fuck-your-feelings crowd get the vapors pretty easily

Very true. It's simply a more high-toned version of the grievance peddling Trump engages in: "look what they've taken from you"

Their ideology, if you can call it that, is divergent enough that I'm not sure they qualify as neo-Nazis, but they are undoubtedly soulless eugenicists and frankly, terrible parents
