Not only are they taking sledgehammers to democratic governance, they are waving seditionist flags while they do it. Absolutely blows my mind they're doing all this with everyone watching and not even suffering a moments hesitation. I hate using it, but these judges are straight evil.

There were two times in the last 10 years when I felt a sense of dread about where the country was likely to go. One was when the NYT broke the bs Comey story about the investigation of Clinton. The other was when RBG died. I hoped I was wrong about what both would lead to, but sadly, I wasn’t.

If I were in a room with Alito for 20 minutes, the thing I would seek to express is that to a regular observer, his jurisprudence often seems indistinguishable from the choices of someone intentionally seeking the worst outcome for America. He wouldn't care but it might knock him off his high horse.

It's clear SCOTUS is out of control. If this was 1861 they'd declare secession constitutional 6-3. FOUR need to be impeached ASAP, two for being unqualified, and the other two for sedition aiding and condoning Jan 6th.

I think that many people have know for years that this destruction is the primary objective of the Chief Justice. He has been quite explicit on the voting rights provisions. The other objective, destruction of the New Deal is a bit harder because lots of white Christian folk enjoy its benefits.

I confess I never thought we would see a Court aspire to be the Lochner Court. I had hoped John Roberts’ giant ego might be what saved things but apparently he so totally thinks they’re going to be the ultimate winners that he thinks he will be judged well for this.

Hindsight is 20/20, but I'm starting to think one of our issues is the pretense that we still operate under the 1787 constitution. the civil war represented the failure of that constitutional settlement, and any appeal to originalism that predates 1865 is an absurdity
