If we hold our leaders accountable, there is motivation to find, nominate and elect good leaders. If we don't, there is none, and we'll continue to get leaders whose actions reflect this complete lack of motivation to be good leaders, or do what voters want.

I would say privilege is largely concentrated on those who only stand to lose their rights *now,* when some are trying to impress upon you they've been losing those rights for decades under dem leadership. The amount of fear some people have over being treated like others already are, is palpable.

Two other prominent doctors (and many others who were less prominent!) have previously been murdered by torture in Israeli custody, one an orthopedic surgeon and the other an obstetrician. Remember when we were supposed to pretend the idea that Israel would target a hospital was a blood libel?
