Why isn't the British version of the CPS checking up on why Harry dropped out of school. I think it's implied wizards use magic to circumvent that shit, and also have a sekrit agreement w/ the govt. I don't recall it being addressed. As to edu, when you can shit in your robe and magic it away

Not that I'm defending the books/her AT ALL (noooooooooooooooo), but I seem to recall the last one (maybe Lupin?) saying attendance at Hogwarts had been made compulsory for the first time that year - previously, they could choose to educate at home, e.g. Dumbledore's sister.

I really want to know why *normal* CPS wasn't checking up on Harry, tbh. A well off or wealthy family has one kid with all new clothes and the other one is in shitty rags with broken glasses and clearly underfed, seems deeply sus.

He was 16 at that point, right? And Hogwarts is in Scotland. So probably fine: www.gov.uk/know-when-yo...

The poop-in-robes deal must’ve had pushback when toilets came out. “Sit over WATER? And defecate into it like a CAVEMAN? So it might SPLASH MY DELICATES? No thank you, I shall shit myself like Magic God intended.”
