this telescope was gifted to NASA by the NRO, which had it left over & sitting in a clean room since the late 90s (I think). What is the NRO & why do they have better telescopes than astronomers? I feel like crypto and now AI are just tiny schemes by the fossil fuel industry to create insane energy demands to combat renewables. Texas, the oil state, will literally pay for blockchains “mines” energy because it goes back into the pocket of fossil fuel execs which then gives them a kickback.
