I’m both irritated & pleased that 20 minutes of gentle yoga 3 or 4 times a week makes my body feel significantly better, especially as I’m getting near the end of my 40s. Very happy I read that @deannaraybourn.bsky.social newsletter from a few years ago where she mentioned the Down Dog app!

I have just realized that my cat has figured out that when I take a bottle out of the wine fridge, he’s likely to get extra treats for dinner. So he starts meowing excessively to remind me of this connection. 😂 #Caturday

Just to be really explicit about what’s happening here, the cover conflates age, physical disability, and cognitive disability, and goes on to conflate disability with unfitness for office. It’s utter bullshit.

Walkers repeated used to point out infirmity/old age becomes fewer people being willing to use walkers or being seen using one. Walkers are mobility/stability tools: we might think of that as a neutral or even as a positive thing, if not for the cruddy way walkers are maligned - like in that cover.
