Seriously, Labour has to put a stop to this corruption, because fundamentally, that's exactly what it is. These firms do not donate money just as an accounting exercise, they expect to be fully recompensed and then much, much more. Private health exploits the NHS at public cost.

We got a soda stream and chill the water to ice cold, super carbonate it (I like fizzy!) And have that instead. We limit ourselves to drinks on Fri and sat only, for the most part, as we definitely consider ourselves "risky" drinkers.

Like you I think they're generally a bit shite. But if you find one you can get on with, I find it helps me reduce my drinking. Like if I've been gardening or something and want a cold one, or if I'm driving and at a pub, they are ok. Otherwise I go for something totally AF.

Good luck mate, it can be difficult. Hope you find your path through. I find the zero percenters almost universally awful but was pleasantly surprised by ice cold corona cero. I jet a big skoosh of lime juice in it as I always have it with Mexican beers and it takes the sweetness away, which I hate.

I did this in a two bed terrace, no mean feat! Start with a ruthless declutter, using the biggest and clearest spot of floor space you have. I started with the kitchen, turfed it all out on the living room floor. Good luck!

This is incorrect. I don’t know anyone using AI for anything. Maybe 4 nepobaby producers are yelling about it. But all artists/writers/musicians I know are fed up of what is clearly manipulated propaganda to force an “inevitability” paradigm surrounding AI, the only way they can sell their bullshit.

Agreed. And I'm buggered if I'm paying £11 for olive oil in Tesco or similar. We get lots of stuff from Lidl (closer than Aldi) like their giant crunchy peanut butter jars for £3.99, they are about £10 elsewhere. And @kanderj.bsky.social likes shitty instant decaf coffee so we stock up on that too

Love their blatant rip offs. There's a red wine called 19 crimes that's decent enough and I saw something incredibly similar in Aldi yesterday, almost half the price. Probably called 20 thefts of something :)

We started with a stock pot from Amazon and a bag. But we are lucky to both enjoy the hobby and consumption of it, and so when we were moving house, we made sure we had a double garage. In fact the garage is now much nicer than the house 😂

We were somehow blessed with hot and cold in this one, plus drainage (not sure what they were doing with it). In the old house we dug down and probably illegally connected to the main drain 😂 What do you do to get around it?

I don't think anyone can judge you for that. The world is set up to ensure folk mostly have no choice but to buy stuff that will break quickly or comes with planned obsolescence as standard. It's sick.

Most recently we went to a rec yard and got a second hand set of drawers pretty cheap & we were able to haggle. They are for shoes in a hallway though, if I needed it for clothes etc it would need some serious cleaning. When I do have to replace the IKEA drawers, genuinely don't know what we'll buy

I agree that IKEA can have fairly decent longevity, some of our drawers etc are from 2009 and you don't care if you ding them. I tried to order replacements from a well known oak brand who dicked me around for months with stock shortages and I ended up cancelling the order. Still using the IKEA!

Her hairdresser, restaurants she's booked and even the political party she's a member of. I contacted her and she found it funny. Did nothing. So I get a ton of junk for her and if I was evil, probably have enough info to steal her identity right now. Lucky for her I'm not!
