Forget where I heard it but it’s true that the court is by nature a reactionary arm of government. They can’t (or shouldn’t) make policy but they can cause policy to revert. Self-policing would be unprecedented. Senate needs to act according to its power. Only gotta impeach one.

FDR never managed to constitutionally test this but enough justices bailed out that he got a New Deal majority court.

Anyone who thinks that John Roberts isn’t also in the pocket of some billionaire(s) is incredibly naive. He is just better at hiding it and fooling journalists into thinking he’s not as corrupt as Thomas and Alito.
