I live in Wicklow and 100% of my friends in the North are in favour of (re)unification. Brexit sealed it for the remaining holdouts (other than the hardcore unionists). My understanding is that the UK would prefer this as well because that bit of this island costs them a lot of money.

With the latest Supreme Court ruling, it’s clear the gloves are off, and they need to come off on the pro-democracy side now, too. We need an articulate, energetic, capable and inspiring leader who will aggressively tackle it all. I’m sorry to say that Joe ain’t that guy. Gavin Newsom is.

I just don’t feel her as a Presidential leader. Good mind and abilities for support roles, cabinet positions and such but not for Pres. Just a feeling, not sure how to be more specific.

This story about Russia being cut off from $USD and €EUR trading is important. China has also cut Russia off from their banking systems as a result. A friend describes it as “Full panic mode” with everyone “desperate to move cash around” and taking advantage of the Russians during this crisis.
