I’m currently shifting between writing two projects. One has been an absolute dream come true, the words flowing out of me like I was born to write them, and the other has been the most challenging writing experience of my life. Writing is hard.

The Original Trilogy and Legends presented a very romanticized version of the Jedi, but the Prequels, Sequels, The High Republic, etc., have presented a much more nuanced (and, to my mind, more realistic) take on the Jedi, showing their flaws and how they fell short of their own ideals.

Well, look at the fact that Osha and Mae might be vergences in the Force, maybe even a Force Dyad, that complicates and expands our understanding of the Skywalker Saga. Were they the Chosen One? What does this mean for the Sith and their goals? How does this signify the rot at the core of the Jedi?

It explores the Jedi and the Sith and the hypocrisies of both sides of their faith in the Force. It complicates and adds nuance to the galactic narrative, and it raises questions that expand the galaxy. Also, Kenobi was good.
