Question to all my fellow readers, audiobook, and/or podcast listeners out there... Do y'all know if there a podcast out there that reads shorter, cozy stories? Not a podcast to fall asleep to, but just shorter (5-15 minute), compelling-but-low-stress stories? If not, I may have to make a thing. 🤔

So far, all I've come across are either "stories to fall asleep to" type podcasts OR "guided meditation" to lower stress, which also isn't what I'm looking for. 😂 Any help is very much appreciated. 💛

In case anyone needs a reminder on the things to do to prevent COVID: -wear a mask in public, even outdoors (preferably a KN95, N95, or other respirator) -improve ventilation + air quality -stay home + rest as much as possible when sick -test for COVID, but beware false negatives -general hygiene

Kiddo wanted to know the reason they couldn't have their cousins in the group chat anymore, so spouse told them. What ensued was a string of curse words & an utter disbelief at the ridiculousness of my brother having a majority of his siblings & @ least one nibling be queer & still being like that.

My bro told me he removed his kids from a group chat that my kiddo started cause the chat talked abt bi, trans, & gay kids & his kids were "too young." Then he said he was worried abt his 12yo, because he's not interested in girls. Apparently, it's only inappropriate when it's queer kids.

The glass isn't half empty, nor is it half full. It's completely full. Why? Because I'm a realist and air has mass and takes up space. I can also say that it is half full of water and half full of air, or that one should specify what one thinks it is full/empty of BEFORE asking.

I'm right there with you. I'm a realist (tho ppl always say, "Oh, so you're a PESSIMIST." Nah, I just understand that this is hard and unfair and the work we need to do is vast. Not that it can't be done, not that it won't be done, but the cost is HIGH. Ignoring that is disingenuous & harmful.

Super upset abt kiddo & how badly sunburned they arw. Camp was ADAMANT about them having to arrive with sunscreen already applied. We did that. I assumed they'd keep the kids out of the sun as much as possible, but my child's bright red, painful skin on back, shoulders, and face says different.
