Men who catcall don’t really have my respect. There’s men I’m cool with in my life & even love who likely do catcall. My partner is from a culture where most men catcall, & has made a deliberate choice not to catcall because he understands it as violence against women. So that’s what I respect.

There's also some evidence that H1 antihistamines can have a protective effect, so that's another option for a protective layer for those who can take them.

I really don’t like the narrative that certain books became successful because a community rallied around them, because that implies that a book failing to sell is a form of community rejection. Books succeed based off what the publisher puts into them. Grassroots hits are incredibly rare.
