Its wild that saying "you shouldnt just implicitly trust everyone on the internet" is controversial.
Not enough of you lived through the days of chatrooms and aol instant messenger and it shows.

Little personal news: I've been promoted! I'm now Polygon's Entertainment Editor, overseeing the film/TV/books/etc. vertical. As always, I'm looking to work with more freelancers and get more voices on the site. If you specialize in current SF/F media, this is a great time to hit me up:

Fair. Its one of those things cooks in commercial kitchens and bakers always suggest to treat minor cooking related burns like this. It might be an old wives tale but it does feel better, to me, after so thats good enough for me. Placebo or not. But again, i have no medical training.

It soothes the burn a bit. I believe it also has mild antiseptic properties iirc

Mustard, yellow mustard, is considered a homeopathic remedy for burns. I am not a medic, but i usually use it when i fuck up like this. I make a poultice of cool water on a papertowel with mustard on it and just leave it on there, you can change the paper towel frequently.

Can i... its fucking weird to know all the history on bree, to call her an abuser, to know so much about who she supposedly is, but then also be like "sry i didnt know her pronouns til now, i apologized, fuck you". That seems disingenuous, how do you KNOW all of this without knowing her pronouns?

I live in a small community in Kentucky. We have our own paper and local radio stations, and that's where i get my local news. A number of other small towns around me also have their own papers and radio.

Since 1969, Dems have been in power for 16 years. They were almost all 1 term Ds (including our beloved Ann Richards) who left office in 1995, and it has been George W Bush, Rick Perry, and Greg Abbott since, all of whom had multiple terms, Perry served from 2000-2016 alone.

This makes it exceedingly difficult to make much head way in Texas for statewide races if youre a progressive or wven moderate dem. I hate Cuellar but theres a reason he keeps winning and the DNC keeps backing him: he's a right leaning Dem and you can win S Tx doing that.

But every 2 years we do this "but look at voter registrations!" And the facts have been for 3 decades that many of those new registrants Hispanic voters, many who are catholics, and while they may like Dem positions on immigrations and border polocy, they do not like abortions.

While its true Texas is gerrymandered to hell & back, Texas is a red state outside of the cities. The suburbs, all the spaces in between, deeply red. I lived there for over 20 years. People think the abortion issue will be the blue wedge, it wont. Much of texas is catholic & abortions are a red line
