When the american liberals use France's election as an illustration of the need to VOTE, they ignore that people were not only voting against the far right but *for* something. They voted for a campaign which promises to: increase minimum wage, lower retirement age, pay for all childcare, etc

They could stop the genocide in Gaza that will likely cost them key swing states? They could court voters instead of berating them. They could align with the left against the right. I think it's dawning on them that they are in real danger from the right, but it may already be too late.

I see a lot of hopelessness from liberals with marginalized identities, it's true things will probably get worse before they get better, but I wish more of us knew it was people organizing things that made life better- never the shitty governments or companies we organized against.

There's organizing to do in Canada too, but if you want to participate virtually there's a surprising amount of spreadsheets and calls calendaring and emails involved in doing anarchism. There's jail support, there's phone blasts, etc. Whatever your capacity and ability you're welcome and needed.

Also there are a lot of groups doing really good work- I'm an anarchist so I have a bias in what groups I'd recommend you join up with, but there are good people doing the work all over, and if nobody is doing anything where you are, you and a few friends can make a big difference.

The thing we need to be doing right now is organizing. Organizing workplaces, mutual aid, and as communities, Whether Trump or Biden wins it's clear we can't just vote and hope our 'leaders' do anything good. We have to build power as communities and workers so people in power can't ignore us.

I'll admit I am not a logistics/global supply chain expert, but I will take your word for it. I think we should do what we can to get more involved in these systems because lives are on the line if they falter, and the status quo is seeming more untenable every day.
