White America imposes existential threats on "others" without ever having to deal with that type of pervasive, 24-7, state-sanctioned oppression. But with MAGA types in charge, many white folks will also feel the sting. Note: chronic blood pressure and compromised life spans are part of the deal.

Racism is at the core of the vituperative, pathological sense of grievance from the right wing, but it's diffused throughout the US as well. Genocide against Native Americans, slavery, Jim Crow, lynchings, voter suppression, wealth theft ... one long, unbroken chain of cruelty against "the others."

The framing of the central issue was skewed from the outset. The SC answered a much broader question than was actually at bar. They've granted absolute immunity. The limitations placed on evidence that could actually prove nefarious conduct was the "fuck you" period at the end of the sentence.

If Trump who has run businesses into the ground numerous times over his life, who was such a bad student that he keeps university transcripts under lock and key, and who is so dumb and arrogant that he continues to admit publicly to felony conduct --if he can be president, then literally anyone can.

Harris a radical leftist? Seen that way by whom? Not Californians or anyone with half a brain. She became Biden's Veep because she's a centrist insider. She would not have been my first choice, but Biden chose her. The hysteria against her resides in the nodal intersection of racism and misogyny.

It's dystopian. Gorsuch has always emitted a somewhat reptilian vibe. You'd think that one of the baseline traits of a SC Justice should be compassion toward others, especially the downtrodden. But he seems to relish being an asshole. I can't believe mainstream commentators once vouched for him.

Has Biden been trying to win over the right? More than any other president in recent memory many of his policy initiatives, with a few glaring exceptions -- Israel-- are closer to progressive causes than not. It's no accident that the hysteria to dump him comes from outlets owned by economic elites.
