It very much depends on species and even individual. I have some animals that genuinely seem to enjoy interaction, some that will tolerate it and others that will flat out make it clear they wish me dead. As a rule I don’t handle the majority of my animals, but it’s quite a variable thing.

Basically, although I’d argue that at least with geckos you get some degree of interesting behaviors here and there and some are more personable.

They’re fine. I’m honestly pretty ambivalent about them. If you want a pet that basically appears to be a box of dirt with a hole in it 99% of the time, and you throw in some bugs every month or so, they’re alright.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but on new world tarantulas the fur is a defense mechanism. Urticating hairs that they flick with their legs and feel like fiberglass shards. Ask me how I know.

Yes, it definitely can. They give you a substrate guard and it’s easy to block the screen portion as much as desired.

I spent about $400 to get a zenhabitats 120 gal equivalent and I will say I like the modular construction. But they are way overpriced.
