I got several more strips thumbnailed today. I think I worked out my dining room table issue. An issue with the strips I’m thumbnailing now is Mo is talking to a specific person but I’m not sure this conversation is in character for him. So I might need to replace him.

This is based on the kitchen of the apartment we lived in when Nikole was an infant. The kitchen was terrible, tiny, no work surfaces. The sink was great though. Huge, with built-in drain boards on each side.

He develops this slippery “vampire” accent but keeps losing it and I was not prepared to take the film as satire/a comedy so assumed cage sucked at accents. Iirc he builds a pillow fort to protect himself from the sun. Really don’t know how I didn’t get the point of the movie back then.

Yeah it’s like proselytizing. I’ve met him several times in fan contexts, including hanging out & seeing a play based on “signal to noise.” I didn’t always get creep vibes. The “I’m a nice guy, so sensitive, be kind” thing has been in stark contrast to his second wife. Just dissonant.
