just watched 74 people speaking at least a dozen different languages become american citizens in a ceremony at monticello, where the speakers were themselves children of immigrants. inspiring stuff and a vivid illustration of what reactionaries want to snuff out

I'm disappointed in Biden's remarks just now. If I were him, I would have stated: "I am currently the President. The SCOTUS decision ALSO applies to me. Therefore, "I" plan to remain in office - in accordance with the SCOTUS decision." Turn and walk out!

Lot of hand ringing over the SCOTUS decision re Trump.
BUT - BIDEN is in office. That decision ALSO applies to him. Come election & inauguration time, BIDEN will be able to do the same things Trump did. If push come to shove: Vast majority of the military will support Biden.
